With Iran’s submarines in the Red Sea, this really notches up the potential for conflict. For some time, their have been rumors of a “surgical” air strike by Israel on Iran’s nuclear ambitions. This will preclude that surgical strike, unless the Israel’s or someone else takes them out first.
Another area of long time concern is the Pakistan versus India potential conflict; since both have nuclear weapons. Hopefully, the deterrent is that any nuclear strike would lead to counter strikes and on and on. However, if El Qaeda were to gain control of nukes, then all bets are off. I think it’s just a matter of time before they do and then it’s “hold on to your hat Hanna” time. The world is a scary place these days.
